Electronics and Embedded Systems Development - ESD2

Graduate Certificate

This graduate certificate program is designed to build on the theoretical knowledge gained from studies in electrical and electronics engineering and provides students with training in soldering / desoldering, component identification, hardware interfacing, programming for firmware and embedded systems design using industry software and techniques. Lectured theoretical concepts are focused into practical, relevant skills through computer-aided design (CAD) for schematics / printed circuit board layout and electronics laboratory experiments and tasks.Topics related to industry trends, entrepreneurship and sustainable technologies are reviewed and discussed from real-world case studies. An applied capstone project will provide students with the opportunity to design, implement and manage a real embedded project using skills learned regarding planning, research, design of experiments (DoE), development and testing.
