This program is designed to help graduate students with an IT background step into the industry. Information technology workers need a broad range of practical skills to utilize in their everyday responsibilities. As a student within this program, you will bring your previous understanding of information technology and enhance your skills by learning how you can apply your knowledge within the workforce. Graduate employability is significantly enhanced by in-depth training in a broad range of technical and personable skills that are in high demand across various industries. As a graduate of this program, you will be prepared to enter an exciting career as a IT Infrastructure/Operations Manager, IT Infrastructure Service Manager or IT Infrastructure Director. The Information Technology Infrastructure Ontario College Graduate Certificate will focus on the practices and skills currently being used in support of the IT infrastructure. Students will gain valued knowledge and experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, Windows server administration, virtualization technologies, and network and security devices. Students will also have the opportunity to develop communication, interpersonal, project management and business skills to work effectively in the corporate world. The program will include hands-on applications and simulations to provide students with marketable skills in operating systems, networks, and security and will contribute to preparing the graduate to write a variety of professional certification exams.
